Winch wiring and battery charging

Post by want33s »

I have a 9500lb winch to fit after I've made a bar. Specs recommend a 650 cca battery so I got a 700cca. What is the best setup to charge both standard and winch battery but only use winch battery for winching? Most setups isolate second battery when ignition is on, I don't want this. I've seen several different setups here but which is the most reliable and cost efficient? Redarc ....ARB.... etc

Most setups isolate 2nd batt when off and charge when on, that is the normal procedure.
