The 70 is a bit big for most things but the 44 would be a popular one, no idea on value though, is it a passenger side drop?

the front 44 would be worth probably a bit to a serious TJ owner who has already bent his D30.

What stud pattern are you chasing? I have a pair of F150 knuckles for sale, 5 on 5.5" pattern, same as early Jeep, Suzuki etc.

Everything you need, from the ball joints out, rotors, calipers, pads etc.

For the 6 on 5.5 pattern, you need to find some Dodge or Chev knuckles, which will be quite rare in Australia, as they aren't all that common in the US either. For the bigger truck 6 stud pattern, I doubt you will find any.

Have you thought about adaptors?

I want $400 for the knuckles, with spindles, backing plates, rotors, calipers, lines, locking hubs, outer axle shafts and anything else I've not mentioned.
All were working well on my F150 before I removed them.
Postage can be arranged from my end.

This is what you want, buy this, the knuckles should swap over, unless your Dana 44 is a non ball joint style of old crap.

It is 6 stud 6 on 5.5, same as patrol.

and it is up your way as well.

Oh, wanna buy a LSD, I'm selling one, new in the box, to suit the front diff.

You would be mad to pass that up, that is a good price, and exctly what you are after.

I bought a chev diff to get my knuckles, and sold the housing and centre for $250 less knuckles and axles.

all you need are the ends, the blazer diff is prolly not much good to you, unless it is the right length, and you make new mounts.

I havernt checked mine but waynes 4x4 in burliegh who specialises in jeeps, said that a fc170 had a one off dana44 that ran a swivle hub similar to patrols, he showed me one, also he said that i probaly have 19 spline axles so with all that, its thrown a spanner in the works, and untill i know exatly what being change on my truck, it makes it hard to plan, and because its a 3hr drive away i can only look at it every once in a while , but from memory i would have put money on it that it had nuckles cant go on memory espiacialy mine. have to wieght till i go up there next week and invester gate.
on a bright side looking at bb 454 chev on ebay rebuilt new everthing $3300 buy now that shits all over the stroker i was going to build.
i spoke to him he does them all the time good thing because i'm not ready for the engine just yet but i hate to miss out.
I'm getting exsited
does any one wont a 85 mazda e2000 light tray truck with a low ks 95 VR COMMERDORE V6 4SP AUTO COMMERDORE DIFF etc.. sits on 120ks with 1.5 ton all day if you know the gate way bridge i can leave the toll booth and do 120k at top of bridge fully loaded from a stand still. also has a big stero, reaposted seats, carpeted alloy tray, full ladder racks over 5m, weighs 1300kgs empty, 200kgs less than commerdore offers around $5000
its all going on the fc170 help make it happen [/img]

Does the 44 have lockout hubs or is it internal? If it as lock out hubs you can get around $150 for a stocker. But since yours has 4:88's your looking more towards $200 plus. The Dana 70 is good axle for guys running 39in tires and larger. I have two Jeeps. One has D44 f/r my other has 60 f and 70 r. The D70 you could get over $300 for it easy.

So it has closed knuckles instead of U-Joints. Isn't worth much then. It's not highly looked for.

exept to the person who wants it and has being looking for years to restore some beast hes building and wants to keep it all origanal, but cant find one, in the mean time i'll get sick of it lying around and dump it and a week later he find out i had one, chase me down, to discover its being mixed with beer cans and turned into a kia carnival and which point he'll snot me for throwing such a rareity away. blah blah blah.
I'll stip it and sell the gears i think see if its a lsd etc.. then post again

Yeah, worth heaps to someone with one, but not required by people doing a conversion. The knuckles off normal diffs won't fit either. but the LSD may.

trying to get out to the farm to have a look I'm told they may be a 19 spline axle making the lsd useless unless i change planatrys to suit the axles and thats sounds like a hasle too

Making some assumptions here BUT.

If your thinking of throwing away your FC170 closed knuckle front diff then contemplate replacing it with a Dana 44F.
This "rare" axle is common in any early Cherokee, Wagoneer, Commando and is well known.....

Dana 44F suits
1962 - 1965 J200 & J300
1957 - 1964 FC 170
1962 to 1969 J200/J300
1970 - 1982 Wagoneer, Cherokee and J series thru 7,000lb GVW
1983 All models
1984 - 1986 Grand Wagoneer & J series truck

You might find the FC 150 where a rare bird because of their age....

As you can see, there is a range of open and closed knuckle axles options in the Jeep range. Open or closed knuckles is just a matter of the year made.
Non-funded retiree.
