For CAMS events for 5 points SFI 16.1 and FIA 8854/98 or 8853-1985 are acceptable. Iwould be guessing that for most other event organisers that they would probably be similar.
If they meet these approvals then they are much of a muchness. If you are going to use these in dirty enviroments though i would definitly go the hook and latch type and definitly 3 inch webbing.
Try speedway shops for your belts, I got mine from Ian Boettcher's in Ipswich. Ordered over the phone and delivered the following day. Cheap and great service.

Back again. If you are after suspension seats try Bob @ Rivmaster. Probably the cheapest for suspension seats, but you do pay for them.

I think bang for buck though fixed back seats are the way to go, whether they are aluminum of fibreglass.
