we can't get gearbox to go on all the way is there a trick

If you are sure the clutch is aligned correctly, check the gap between the block and the bellhousing is EVEN, ALL the way around. Check there are no hoses or wires/cables in the way. There should be two dowel pins to line up, you may have to rotate box clock &/or anti-clockwise. ....not easy to describe a general purpose instruction when there are so many things that could be wrong. good luck!

No, i think he hasnt got the clutch plate aligned properly!
Did you use an aligning tool. so the spiggot will go into the spiggot bearing?

Put some grease on input shaft,works all the time,Cheers Paul.
