Time for a new main battery as the old shitty light truck battery I whacked in as interim measure is on the way out.
Its only going to be wired up to start the engine and power the winch. Maybe the lights too not sure?? So I'm after one with lots of CCA's and durable.
I've got roughly 310mm x 180mm of room and after advice on Brand names and model numbers as I don't have the knowledge when it comes to batteries.

Have a look at the Odyssey batteries too. Bit exxy, but last longer than most and have kick arse current output (very low internal resisitance). Just as happy doing deep cycle as heavy draw stuff and UNLIMITED charge current absorbtion. Only thing that kills them is a charge voltage of 15V+. Equivalent capacity to a wet cell battery 50% larger.
Come in a few odd shapes and sizes so may be able to find one or two that would fitt a slightly irreg shape.

George Carlin, an American Comedian said; "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise that half of them are stupider than that".
A/C Delco, we used one as a winch battery in a car I navi-d in and we winched probably 50 - 60 meters on a dead drag (motor had died) in a comp and the battery never felt like it was oing to flatten one bit, it was unbeleiveable. Even the people in the crowd watching were dumbfounded at the distance it lasted with out any charging.
