Hmmm.. Window nets suck. Wrist restraints are great!.. I'm one who ATM has not enough time to be bothering with CCDA stuff... Can anyone take this idea to them for me???? Alot of forms of motor sport give competitors a choice of either.
Having experienced more than one rollover i can tell you that window nets more than often hamper rescue attempts or occupant exiting. Wrist restraints are simple and effective.

I was liking the sound of this series till i read smithy's little piece

Is it going to be OZrock down under????????

Events have many rules that competitors dont like.
Seat belts, like window nets are there for for your safety.
As an organisor I fully support the use of any device that keeps you safe.

100% agreeance from me...
that's why i don't like window nets.. they are better than nothing but why not allow wrist restraints when they do they same job with less hinderance?

Wrist restraints will only help you if you're wearing a properley adjusted 5 point harness.

A wrist restraint only stops your arm coming out the window, so you need everything else to stop the rest of you going out as well. Perhaps window net or wrist restraint with 5 point harness?

A correctly fitted 4 point is going to have the same chance of stopping you going out the window as a 5 point will.
I'm hoping we're not fitting window nets because our harness's aren't up to the task... No of course we're not..
In the end if it has to be window nets then i'd be happy that atleast something is being done. But i just feel it's not the best option

In a brief discussion with Mike Smith on the weekend the following words were spoken... " Merk Rielly couldn't drive his D6 dozer up the hill so he made one pass down the hill and cut in a track"

Interesting..... A D6 couldn't drive it

Bring it onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...

Sounds as though there has been alot of effort and input into this event.. See you there.. (i'll be the buggered one scrambling up a hill that a dozer can'r drive

Well i headed up today & helped layout the tracks, went around a few of the tracks & got to see a few cars drive them.

I heard the Queensland Super Navie "Kevvy Nott" is heading down to compete in the Engel winch challenge is this true! If so that would be worth the traveling down just to see. Kevvy's the biggest star on the extreme 4x4 scene since the Leen dynesty.

Hey sorry if this question has been asked already, but i went onto the website and wanted to find info on camping at the property, i found something about competitors camping but couldn't see anything on spectators camping????

Can spectators camp at the property tonight? (Friday 9th March)

just heard from one of the marshall co-ords.

an area is available to spectators for camping but it is not near the competitors camping area.
