3" or 4" jeez you might aswell just weld some metal in there and have no flex, coz thats what that will be like!

As per my post on your previous thread.

sierras are very light and only designed for short travel. taking a car with 5" of total travel and 1.5" of compression stock and fitting 3" lift springs will give you approximately 4.5" of compression and .5" of droop. The car will not drive properly.

don't think it is all in the shocks either - the spring design will not allow more than about 5" of travel regardless of how high you set the spring.

I have built cars that run over 35" tyres with the suspension set up you have by trimming guards and running bumpstop spacers. These cars have long shocks for more travel too, but they all run RUF with 3 or 4 leaf OME springs and are very soft in the front.

running3" of spring lift will make all the bad behaviour of sierras far worse.

33's without a RUF will foul the front guards pretty bad. The RUF will give you more room, as well as lengthen your wheel base which you would want for sure with 33's unless you like driving cars that look like rolerskates. Also consider the extra stress on your axles etc with 33's. Unfortunatley if you want descent size tyres on a zook you are going to have to cut and change stuff.

of course if you can get them cheap then all the negatives of how they perform means they will suddenly become great.

Drop shackles are Gimmicky ways to get flex like everyone hhas said numerous times. To make them work you have to do alot of stuff to the entire suspension setup and the end result after all thhat stuffing around and expense isn't worth it. If you just chuck them on without any other mods you will destroy springs and the car will behave unpredicatbly and in some cases dangerously.

But if they are cheap well…
