Got lift? Will 35's fit under a Lux with no lift? More info. What engine? I'm sure a 2.8D as a DD with 35's would suck balls.

Not the best pic i know but this was mine before i started the rebuild. It's an 84 with 1 &1/2 spring lift 2 inch body and diff forward 37mm. i had 4.88 diffs and running a 3.8 litre v6 chev and didnt even notice the bigger tyres but with a 2.8 u dont really want anything bigger than 33's unless you wanna turbo it or run lower diff gears

i have a 2.4 turbo and 35's with 4.5s ratios and its slow off the mark but not that bad no where near as bad as you would think. ill eventually put the 4.88s i have here in it. but its fine once you are up tp speed

i was thinking since i only drive 10kms a day, i was gunna go the 35's with 4.88 diff gears, rears up front and ifs rears with blocks in the back and extended shakles. and down the track fit a turbo. i was just wondering how 35's and 4.88 diff gears would be on the road with a standared 2.8

i run 35s with 4.88 gears and a stock 2.4 goes well on the m1. not good out the gates. but awsome in the dirt

Thanks DAVO29 thats good to hear, cause up until now i was thinking there would be no point in having a 2.8 with 35's even if i did the gearing.

35's aren't to bad power wise on 2.8(unsure of my diff ratio4.5:1s at a guess) bais ply at 10psi don't handle i'd explain it as trying to turn on a waterbed radials at good pressure are ok but.

on the subject of fitting 35's when you go rears up front do you need shock hoops to stop your front shocks from coming in contact with the original shock towers?
