Help with installing an intercooler on a SD33T?

Post by Vanne »

Hi guys/gals,

I just got myself an intercooler off ebay. a Nissan SR20DET Intercooler - modified for SD33T Patrol, flipped an end cap for ease of tube bending for piping. anyways, iam looking for help with what needs to be done and how to go about installing it on my factory sd33T turbo.

Iam thinking of removing the pre-cleaner and sticking it there with a bonnet scoop on that side to force the air through it and downwards.

my main question lies in regards to how do i get it between the turbo and the inlet manifold. also does the piping need to be metal?

cheers and thanks for the info in advance.
also, any idea on the sort of increase in output i could expect?
