bell housing is similar to skyline, maybe even the same :?
use the smaller gear box used on the 3ltr patrols and then fab some engine mounts and solder some wires. There pretty wide so maybe moving some things like alt and stuff aswell. But why, they lack low down torque but they are getting some good power out of them. I think it has been done

i was given some info that one of the i think skyline heads was same bolt up pattern as the tb42 and that you could hang a twin turbo off it

they will bolt straight to a gq 3 litre gear box but you need a vg30 pathfinder or a manual 300z bellhousing.
mate is in the process of putting one into a early model pathy should haul in that but i wonder if it would have the torque in a gq. that said if you had a 3l gq and wanted an upgrade it would probably be a good option.
mate is having to highmount the turbos and move a few accesories to clear the chassis, i doubt it would be much easier in a patrol

are you sure you wont a 300zx motor they are extremely price to work on i would suggest going the skyline motor they are much cheaper and easier to work on

i wouldnt bother hardly any torque in the motor..

Mate dropped in a VL turbo motor is his GQ with alot of aftermarket bits. He can tell the power the difference when he has tool box in boot or even more or when he has extra passengers.

However hop in Turbo Diesel and load it up can hardly tell the difference, this is all due to the torque that it puts out and when it puts it out...
