intercooler on sd33td? wheres the best place to fit?

Post by Vanne »

hi guys, got the intercooler the otherday and have removed the 2ndary aircleaner to fit the intercooler, however the space isnt big enough. any other ideas on where it couyld go? has anyone removed the primary airfilter and modded it to the right? (ie over near the master cykinder somewhere?) front mount is kind of out due to the amount of piping it will need. Ive got 2 inch body lift, but that doesnt leave enough space to mount it on top of the primary airfilter...

any ideas/hints/help would be much appreciated.

I removed both factory air cleaners and mount'd a later model commedore airfilter box behind LHS headlight, then corregated tube straight to the turbo, left heaps of room for a top mount, I have a 23/4 body lift but it shouldn't make much differance, if you mount it high, you can get a small thermo from a diahatsu or something similar underneath it
