I don't think that spray can engine paint would be up to the task but you could get them jet-coated.

Any one know what sort of coin getting stuff coated is worth? Would engine paint or zorst paint work?

I could but I Don't think it would be real cheap. I got prams and stuff to pay for you know the drill

I've had good luck with VHT hi-temp spray paint. Seems to last about 2 years. Maybe more if you're anal about preparation.

I've had bad luck with Plasti-kote hi-temp spray paint. It dried powdery and kept flaking and brushing off. Never set properly either, touching it would get paint dust on your hands even months afterwards.

It was 'FlameProof - 1500F'.

have used this same stuff as hotfourok used.
put it on my extractors.. smells for the first day or so then it sets and is all good.

I painted extractors and they glow red down the bottom when sitting on 4K in soft sand up the beach and mine looked perfect not a bubble or anything just make sure u do the prep work well before hand..

I sanded all the old paint rust and shit off so they were bare metal then went over it with metho get all the dust off then painted them used the hole can over a few coats and couldn't be happyier..

Liek with any painting, the finish can only be as good as the prep... so take your time and it should last for ages
