Post by badger »

been told that front hilux shackle fits rear of mk and rear lux fits front of mk
is this true?
as we are chasing some cheap extended shackles for the mk and lux ones are easier to find

rear hilux shackles are 2mm skinyer than mk front springs (wide spring) (thats measuring the lower half of the mk front shackle and rear hilux shacle inside to inside) i was looking at this to day, i was thinking of using hilux rear, back shackle mounts insted of the bronze bush for a full rubber or urathane front end.

but i dont know about using front hilux for rear, ill measure them up later as you have given me some bad idea's  ;)

rears will also, but you may need some washers at the top, as the top of the hilux shackles are wider and the standed rear hilux shackles are shorter than mk rears. im not sure if the pins are correct size.
