No the 2.8TD didn't come with them, they came with the 3.0L Petrol drive line

I believe it was the Cab chassis and utes versions of the patrol that had them

The double cardon joint were in MQ yes, but as for the GQ they were only factory in the cab chassis and in the front. as for the 3.0 or 4.2 well im not sure. anyone ever seen a 3.0 in a cab chassis? beats me.

speaking of which you remind me of having some in my collection, lol.

thanks heaps mate. thanks for the pm but i allready got a shaft, the wreckers want like 300 for a mq one, man these things are dear. i appreciate your info. thanks to all.

all i need to do now is put a new uni in the front and wack it in. not sure why they just didn't tell me at the wreckers that it would fit my wagon. :? but o well if its gonna get rid of that vib then money well spent i reckon. 6" springs really changes angles etc

There was no cab chassis in 3.0L petrol that i know of, 4.2L petty or Diesel only

You will only find the double cardinal joint in the Cab chassis patrol, haven't seen them in any 3.0L petty's 4.2L wagons or 2.8L diesels

My point exactly. i aint ever seen a 3.0 cab chassis! so most of them should bolt straight in id say. unless you were putting them in a 3l wagon because the pinion flanges are diffrent from 4.1 to 4.3.

i have some for sale by the way peoples so pm me if your keen. cheers

not a prob, 300 for a mq shaft sounds about right here in vic too.. its amazing hey?

but i think you will be happy with it, they do make a difference on the smooth side

just keep them unis greased and youl get a good life out of it. :D

AFAIK GQ Leaf Sprung Cab Chassis units had DC front shaft.
Got one for my wagon a few years ago and had to get it shortened to match the original unit. It sorted a issue I was having while coasting!
