The indicators in my GU wagon dont work when the hazard switch is on. They work perfectly while the hazard is off??

OK, please explain? I thought hazard lights are "all indicators flashing." Yet, you want to indicate while all your indicators are flashing?

What am I missing? :?

I think maybe his hazards aren't working, but his indicators are.

Checked the plug at the back of the switch?

Different fuse for hazard and indicators - check both.

sorry guys, didnt really explain this too well.

The car is new to us so my missus wanted to give it a clean, she bumped the hazard switch while wiping the interior down with out noticing. She drove it over to a friends and rung me saying teh indicators dont work.

eventually we figured out that the hazard button was in (and the hazards dont work). Once we took the hazards off the indicators work fine again???

not sure, im gonna try and track down a wiring diagram and see if i can isolate the fault. I was just hoping someone may have come across it before saving me the fault finding process. :D

Lucky for me i wont ever need the hazard lights as i was smart enough to buy a nissan

The hazards have a seperate fuse under the bonnet, if this blows it will affect your blinkers. Have had a prob like this before, replaced under bonnet fuse, everything worked again. Hope this helps?

I had troubles with my hazards not working after hooking up the camper trailer and switching them on to test the lights. Told Nissan at time of service and they said it was a common problem, and replaced the 10amp (i think) fuse with a 15amp and no more problems. Hope this helps.
