CAMS TO CCDA specs for roll cage

Post by muddymav »

hey all, i have been searching for numerous days on the net and making phone calls and dont seem to have an answer as yet,
i am enquiring about making a roll cage to CAMS specs although i think that CCDA's and CAMS specs differ,
CAMS specs roll cages need to be certified by FIA engineers, but i cant find anything relating to CCDA's,involving roll cage's,specs and engineers.

I have also been through Vic roads (VSI's) and led to belive and there isn't a need for an engineers cert to be supplied aslong as the cage doesnt interfear with seats or seat belts

if any one could shed light on the issue it would be greatly appreciated
cheers Duane.

I believe Pro Comp in Narree Warren do scruitineering for the CCDA vehicles so they will be a place to start.

i just gto an email from someone at CCDA they reffered me to a link on their site that was a minimum requirement for a roll cage. it then took me to vic roads web site and there is no engineering needed for vic.

You might also want to have a look at this as I was told that Vic is going by the NCOP. Maybe ring an Engineer to double check the latest requirements to be safe.
