Just a reminder that the Logan Challenge is on this weekend at Black Duck 4x4 Park - Gatton.

This year is sure to provide some great entertainment for competitors and spectators.

Bring the family and enjoy watching the fourbys play.

Hope to see you all there!!! :)

Does Black Duck have a website or can anyone give me reliable directions to the park from Brissie (North Side). I can workout how to get to Gatton but what do I do from there?

Directions to Black Duck:

-Drive into Gatton.
-Turn left at the set of lights where Woolies is. (KFC is on the opposite corner).
- Drive about 2km, turn left at the "Mt Sylvia" exit. (Exit is sort of a sweeping "S" turn.)
- Follow this road all the way to the Mt Sylvia school.
- Turn left at the school. (There is a sign for Black Duck on this corner).
- Stay on the main road all the way to Black Duck. (There is a sign that says 'No through road', don't worry, that is the right way. Black Duck is before the road ends.)
- Once the road turns to dirt, you're only about 1km (not even that) to the front gate. Can't miss the driveway, there's a huge 'Black Duck Valley' sign out the front.
- Just drive in the main track to the house and sign in.

Hope this helps a few people interested in coming out for a look, or those who just wanna check the place out later. ;)
Simon.

First stage begins at 10.00am sat. Black duck is about 1.5/2 hours drive, depending where you come from. Good flat run, only 3 small mountain ranges on the Warrego hwy.

Bits that Marshy forgot.

After taking the Mt Sylvia exit rollow the road until you see the Mt Sylvia Rd turn and take it - don't go straight (otherwise you'll end up 2 valleys too far east).

When you see Mt Sylvial school on your left, take the following left turn (the road basically does this for you). If you turn at the school, you will end up 1 valley too far to the east.

If you take the correct turn (after the shcool) you will end up in the right valley. When you do this, follow Marshy's directions until you see the black duck sign. Take the driveway on the right that the sign is pointing at as there is no sign on the driveway.

Took us 2 hours 15 mins to get there and 1 hour 15 mins to return. However I can tell you all about the 2 valleys to the east of black duck :D

I've never seen a Fresian milker with grey hair on the hide... it's urban camo.

Our team (Rockcrawling QLD) placed a credible 5th, with 12 penalties overall (the second lowest - the lowest was Logan A team with 8) We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, Chick54 was disappointed she missed out on dessert after dinner, the teams had to do some 'extreme handwriting' for the night stage...

Scotty had some interesting tales about his carnage, clutchiverous mud (mud that eats clutches), Blackum Duckus Transferium Caseii - rock that is very hard on the transfer crossmembers, and he also had a case of Rearus Shockii Seperatum...

Big_Nissan took directions from POS  , 'nuff said...
