Which clutch?

I'm needing to replace my clutch soon, but I'm not sure which to go for.
It will need to be heavy duty, but the Exedy safari tuff retail for $1350 :shock:
Anyone know where I can get something over there for a better price?

$1300 for the Safari Tuff? i got mine for $500, fitted it myself with some help from a friend who is always happy to help in these situations.

Mine was the Excedy Safari Tuff, which i think is the Dakin Safari Tuff,

How much grunt does the car have. I know some guys running decent turbo setups on Patrols and they have a clutch that has heaps of power. Pretty sure there the same as what Andrew Casser was running in his old TB42 turbo also.
PM Turbo 4.8 or Juzza and they should be able to sell you a clutch with heaps of grip.

Thanks for the info. At the moment its only a n/a TD42, but will be turboing in the future if I don't get a GU shorty.

Sparky has one of the these clutches in his GU ute. And it has had some big hi rev take offs in 3rd low. And it appears to grip real well. TO the point that if it doesent have the grunt to spin the tyres the engine bogs instantly.
Thats with 35x11.50 Pedes and std gearing.

another point for the exedy daikin safari tough clutch kit, installed one as soon as i bought my maverick, and i tell you, the ammount of feel these things have is phenominal. They bight extremly well and can handle 3rd gear takeoffs with ease (accidentally missed first) :D but yes i would definatly put one in again

want a good clutch ...... go a chev clutch.
got one in mine, work real well and surpricing soft pedeal.

by the Andrew Cassar has an auto now, ive got his old one which was the chev only did one comp on it and was fairly new, for what i paided for it. ;)

the 4 terrain clutch from clutch industries has been holding up very well to my turbo tb42 , top guys to deal with .

i was quoted under 500 for a new HD clutch kit and flywheel machined but no labour
