air locker solenoid size

Post by outback_pootrol »

im just wondering what the outlet side of the air locker solenoid is, the one with the orange thing on it, is it 1/8" or any thing else,
just curious as i want to run a regulator from the solenoid and the smallest i can get is 1/4, so if i go to a place that sells the fittings im after i can get a piece to go from whatever the solenoid is to the 1/4,,,
thanks

have you got one or two lockers?, if you had 2 or planned on it, i'd put the reg before the solenoids, only need 1 reg then, and are you talking the thread size of the fitting BSP, or the OD of the airline?, just unscrew the fitting and take it to an air fitting joint, theyll sort you out, and make sure if you intend on going a lot higher in tank pressure the solenoids can handle it - if you put them before the reg...

An ARB Locker solenoid is 1/8" BSP with a 5mm air line.

use 6mm air line you can buy the fittings from smc, festo or norgran. 6mm line is common n everyone stocks it I'm changing my airlockers to 6mm n goin to carry 6mm joiners so if it gets a hole or split is a quick fix n can replace the whole line for approximatly fark all
