Good wok

as a matter of interest, we beat/folded back the guards on the Disco without slitting them. Simply draw a guide line above the cut, say 15mm above, use a heavy bolster at the back along the line and hammer and beat it back to where you want.

The alloy is so maleable that it will shape up fine without shearing or splitting, and avoids the need to fill those gaps and secure the tabs somehow. Try it next time. We beat/folded the guard lip back 15mm after cutting, which was enough to provide good strength. You can adjust by further beating if the line is not quite right.:)
