turbo Garrett ?

Post by giacomo.m »

Hi all,

I have a HZJ105 (1HZ engine ) with aftermarket AXT kit turbo,
the nameplate to turbochargers is : 1B (TB ?)012 4J
14411-17D03
471024-0003
which turbo is ?
Garrett ? Toyota ?
moreover me it seems that it is not water cooled, like would have to be the kit of AXT.

Thank you.

It's a garrett, possibly a T25.

CHRA is Centre Housing Rotating Assembly. It contains both wheels and the bearings/bushings.
A/R describes the geomtry of the housings (usually exhaust). Smaller numbers make the turbo spool up at lower rpm. Bigger numbers mean the turbo will spool up at higher rpm but also flow more air.
