Auto box not changing

Post by Josh085 »

Just went for a play in the forestry and now the auto box doesn't change into drive it just changes from first to second any ideas? then revs out doesn't kick into Drive even when the stick is in Drive.. Its in a Gq Converted to a turbo diesel instead of the 4.2 petrol

Any comments appreciated

get the seals checked out.

though if there's a problem it'll have to be fixed at the place you take it to, to get checked.

be too hard putting back broken pieces.

had similar to this once when I went a little deep in water once.
got the auto controller box wet. Drove home in 2nd, after a day or so it had dried out and all was back to normal.

sounds electrical to me. Check fault codes first. If that does nothing I'd try and get hold of another Trans control unit and plug that in.
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)
