i have a 98 75 series trayback cruiser, i've recently drove a 75 series troopcarrier and the ratios felt different. would like to know where it is? the diffs? the gearbox? In the troopy 1st gear felt about the same as 2nd in my ute. Around town i hardly ever use 1st gear, can take off in 2nd without riding the clutch. Any suggestions on the best way to gear up my ute.
also anyone with a 75 series ute can you let me know how many litres to the 100km you are getting? on the open road i get about 12.5L per 100km sitting on 100 to 105km/h with the a/c on 1.
cheers
troy

All 75 series were 4.11's in the diffs the only differences that i know of are for the 78,79 sereis where there are 4.11's for the stocka's and 4.3 for the rv troopies and cab chassi's

I get about 3.5 Klms to the litre of gas and approx 5 klms to the litre of petrol on a country trip.
Thats in a 94 4.5l 75 series with SOA and 35s.
yours translates to about 8klms per litre which IMO is awesome.
Thank god for LPG.
I should also note that this is a heavily laden vehicle for work purposes.
