I rebuilt both rear hubs a couple of weeks ago but didnt use any blue rtv silicone on the axle flanges just the gaskets.
Ive had no problem like it is but im wondering if there is any benefit in pulling the axle and glueing both faces of the gasket with the silicone then reinstalling ?
Im thinking mainly from a waterproofing point of view......
cheers
