Removing l28 head
Removing l28 head
I'd appreciate some help from the L28 gurus. I remember something about keeping the timing chain in place when removing the head but don't remember exactly why or how. Could anyone help? I have searched the bible so please don't just answer "search". Thanks.
92 NH Pajero, MQ Patrol 50mm lift. One has custom rust, dents & rattles, the other has a blown engine.
If it's anything like the L4 series motors you need to wedge the timing chain in place so you done lose it down the front of the motor (about half a slabs worth to retrieve with motor in car)
Buy a manual and it'll be in there the exact size of the block you need, I'm unsure if its the same size as the L4's if it is i'll measure up mine for ya. There's also a couple of datsun forums around ozdat maddat etc that will have the info on them if ya search hard.
