Interesting. Would anyone care to comment on accuracy and durability of an off the shelf reg?

Pay $30-$40 and they are as accurate as the $20 gauge on them - pretty good when I tested with my tyre gauge.

The $15 combo supplied on super crap and gmc compressors was an interesting one. The gauge was wrong - simple. The regulator was crap on the home compressor as it dodn't hold stable pressure under flow. But for tyre inflation flow tapers as ti gets close to the end pressure, meaning a cheap crap reg with a good gauge should work fine.
