no movment yet just looking at getting parts together. What size you running in the vit? How much do you think the vit weigh's? The reason that i ask is that if a buggie was lighter weight would'nt it be alot easier on it's components?A1 wrote:STRENGTH ..............so things are moving on this front then

But the age old saying is do it once do it right!( not having a shot at you.)
will chase 4sum4 about where he got his.
thanks.
I am running the same 25mm rod ends Dan runs in his Vitara, and have done for years in a couple different cars. Bang for buck, I don't think you can beat them. I think Dan's breakages may have been a bit of fluke/bad luck?tuf045 wrote: no movment yet just looking at getting parts together. What size you running in the vit? I have probably 50% more unsprung weight that Dan, aluminium links that have absolutely NO shock absorption, 42"s, portals, all the things rod ends hate
I haven't broken one, I have a couple that are very slightly bent. I am pretty hard on my car, too. On the weekend I was pushing Dan's Vitara up stuff he couldn't climb with my front tyres

Yup ......was a good weekend .........I now have IROK imprints on my drivers door ......I'm still blaming you
Yeah it is true plenty of rigs/buggys out there are using the same 25mm heims ......with no issues .... maybe the one that broke was just a lemon...and yes if its lighter it has to have less stress on components ..I'm sure , maybe the Vit wieghs more that wendles jungle gym

they use National Rod Ends products, but when you think about it the suapension on a rock crawl buggy is put under alot more stress and twisting than a taxi on steroids racing around a road.Modified Toy wrote:what type of ends do sprint cars there pushing a lot of hp through the driveline must be years of reasearch on good links there...

Yes a mate purchased 2 4link kits from them which was 16 cromo 3/4 rod ends and it arrived within a week from ordering think all up it was like $570 delivered but that was when the ozzy doller was about .76cents so it may be cheaper now? But i dont think you will find any cheaper then about $35.65 per hyme delivered.
yes very cheap! Have you used them yet? any failures?nottie wrote:Yes a mate purchased 2 4link kits from them which was 16 cromo 3/4 rod ends and it arrived within a week from ordering think all up it was like $570 delivered but that was when the ozzy doller was about .76cents so it may be cheaper now?
