problem bleeding GQ Clutch
problem bleeding GQ Clutch
I noticed the clutch slave was leaking on the TD 42 so I kitted it as well as the master and blew old fluid from lines and replaced. After 500ml of fluid the clutch still won t work. Short quick depresions will build up pressure and allow the clutch to operate however when released it goes back to spongy and requires the process to be repeated to be able to enagage gears. Are these clutchs a problem to bleed? I have bled at all 3 points. Any help would be appreciated. Used dot 4 instead of 3 but this shouldn't cause any problems as I believe their the same other than boling point.
92 GQ TD42 5 speed wagon. Twin LSD. 35's, 2' lift and 2' body lift
Keep working on that center bleeder as it most likly still has an air lock, If you pump the clutch up and hold it in then crack the center bleeder till the clutch fork returns , lock up the nipple, pump up the pedal and go again, keep this up for about 10 times or so then move to the lower one, same operation. cheers Phill.
