How do you wire up an interior light?

My one was not working so I ripped it out to see, and it has two wires, one positive, one negitive then I have a third wire from the door. Where does this wire go? to make it work when you open the door

Hi JacZook, your positive probably goes to a fuse, your negative would go to the interior light switch and the one for the door would also be to negative via any of the door switches.
