have you reserched the turbo700 i wanted to do the same but everyone said it'd be unrelayable, that it wouldn't last espesialy if i tow with it, thats why nearly all silverado's, blaser's, all your chev trucks run the turbo 350 / 400 and gear it up to suit or have an seperate over drive.

what i was told thoe is that if i insisted to use a t700 use the cable kick down t 700 and manualy take it out of over drive ie put it in 3 before putting my foot down to power up hills over take etc..this will make it last longer I'm biulding a jeep truck up and plan to use the similar set up and i will put a button on the dash for over drive so i only turn it on when i hit the high way to the t700.

some one will probably have a different opion

not stock let us know how it went / goes????

The TH700 was bad between '82 and '85. In '89 it was strenghtened and is ok since then. My truck will be more or less competition only (planning to do the Outback Challange in Maroc 2008) so towing won't happen with this one anyway.
