3/4 eliptic on mq swb

Post by noelb1 »

Hi all,
I have an 85 swb mq/k and I want to go 3/4 eliptic on the back I have been through the bible, got a q about where to mount the top spring when going 3/4 eliptic, should it be pinned from the cetrerline of the axle or further back i.e shorter top spring, it will be sua 2" springs and 2" shackles.

any help /input appreciated .

Shoot Jeff (screwy screwball) a message, his old green tree magnet had a 3/4 eliptic rear end.

On my Zuk I used a standard spring. I cut it about 4" longer than the centre pin and then pinned it on the centre, if that makes sense.
