have seen these a few places and was wondering if they have any drawbacks. I'd like to use them instead of castor plates. How hard are they to fit with regards to the shims and bearing preload?

Do you have a link to a site about them but can't see how it would be harder than fitting stock ones and it should come with instructions so read up.

I have fitted them to 4x4 hino firetucks before......they were a ecentric ball type. fairly easy to fit following directions to get cast and camber right.
