puller for crankshaft pully and timing gear 300Tdi

Post by aussben »

Hi All,

I am about to do my timing belt on my 300Tdi, I need to get a crank shaft pulley puller and a timing gear puller. Is there anyone who could tell me where I could these pullers in Sydney?

Thanks

I just used a universal harmonic balancer puller & used some M5 x 100 socket head capscrews for the timing belt gear.

<edit> I made a crank pulley holder, but Maxi Drive sell 'em cheaper than I made mine

Flywheel locating pin was a brass 1/4 x 1/8 BSP reducing bush re-threaded for an M6 bolt (with the end turned down to 5mm.) Just screw it in to lock the flywheel. </edit>

Thank for your info, I have seen the universal ones I just was not sure if they would be strong enough if the harmonic balancer has been loctited on.

Who is maxi drive? I do need to get a crank shaft pully holder.
