Transfer whizzing noise on steep hill climb
Transfer whizzing noise on steep hill climb
I went for a drive(Sierra) with GT60(HJ60) the other day and while driving Belli Break, a really steep local trail, my transfer started making this loud whizzing sort of noise and kept doing it to the top. After a 5 minute rest to get my pulse back to normal,we continued and the transfer seemed OK.
Yesterday it did it again, only once after a cold start, while reversing out the driveway. I suspect the noise on the hill was caused by the oil running to the back of the transfer but my driveway is level ??. I have rechecked the oil level and it's fine. Is this normal or is it something to worry about?
