HZJ79 front locker

Hi Guys, I'm located in Canada and I need some advice on a front locker for my 2003 HZJ79 ute.

Will an HDJ81 fron e locker fit the newer front end on my HZJ79? Or do I have to get an elocker (OEM) specific for the HZJ79?

Im fairly certain the 80 series complete front 3rd will fit but you do need to modify your housing slightly to accomidate the locking mechanism. This will be the same if you use the 79 series factory locker as well.

Second that.....mod the housing for the extra bit off the locker to fit in the hole and drill and tap a few extra stud holes and your there....the ratio is thesame (4.1) and the front uses std axles.
