When the yanks refer to shed 40 are they referring to NB 40. If so what wall thickness?

Sched 40 is pretty tough ... if you are buildiing a race car .. go DOM .. if you want to stand up to low speed rollovers etc I cannot see anything wrong with sched 40 at all ..
Have used it heaps when I worked for my dad (bulk LP gas installs) was often bent to 90 degress or so never had any splits etc ..
Hell I have seen what was left of a 75 after rolling at 100 or so .. was fawked up .. but the 2 x 3 Rhs pipe carrier was still standing .. A bit bent but allowed the driver to walk away from the accident .. (and the roof of a 75 is not all that tough)
