hey guys i own a 85 swb pajero and i was just wondering if anyone else has put a v6 commodore motor into one or knows any info on doing it. im not planing on doing it right away. will probly start the trasfer in about 1 year after i have a new car and will take the paj off the road to do the work. and wat gear box would i have to use as well? ive heard that hilux running gear goes straight onto a holden motor, is this true? well i hope someone can help me out as i am really wanting to do this to my car a bit further down the track

niether of the mistubishy v6's will fit into ur car if it's a 2.6 without some minor mods i know.
the commo v6 would be more work again.
but the 3.5 or 3.8 pajero motor or even 3.0l triton motor is ur best bet keep it mitusbishi.

i would choose an engine that has room to spare around it in the engine bay and is not so hi-tec for ease of maintanance and repair
spend the coin on a good suspension setup and a solid drive line
it will reward you 10 fold compared to a wild motor and shit suspension and drive line

I would go out and buy a '94 (NJ) onwards one first, 10times better. You say money no object. NJ can be found for less than 10 grand and you would end up spending that on an engine swop after you blown the diffs with the V6.

as with any part i would try to keep it simple and comon,
don't fall into the trap of one off custom parts, because if you brake it on the trail none of your mates will have the bits to save you. if you use of the shelf bits chances are that someone will have something in there shed to help you out
