hey

need to get a new head gasket for my td42, just wondering if there are some brands that i should stay clear of? or should i stay with genuine?

also how much should i be expecting to pay?

and, where is the best place to get one? (qld)

Nissan's have the attendency of not liking after market head gasket's. any local car parts store should have them. my opinion is to stay genuine

at least make it is a good jap head gasket you use and not a cheap chinese one.
THE GRASS MAY BE GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE BUT YOU STILL GOTTA MOW IT.

if you are running a turbo dont use anything other than genuine cos it wont last.

also make sure you get the correct size, there are 3 diff thicknesses, you will find which one you need by the number stamped on the face of the block becide each cylinder, if your turbo'd your best off getting size 3 regardless
