1HD-FTE Turbo

Post by Dak Dak »

Had a quick search and couldn't find anything. Anyone tell me the details of the factory turbo on a 1HD-FTE? Type, Ball bearing, etc???

Thanks.

Plane bearing, has a larger compresser wheel for increased volume, and a smaller turbine to spool earlier.....there is one on sale in ebay for 1500, another a few weeks ago for 500.
The supra front cover can be retrod on to give original hosed flanges, as std has flanges.

When you say thesame....no it is not, the turbine housing is smaller with smaller turbine, (same size as hdt or close) and larger intake compresser same size as 3 litre supra (7mgte) hut then again, yes, it is otherwise identical...same pipework to water and oil, same orientation etc etc...
Suppsedly more efficient at making low boost.
