GQ Ute Gas Tank Placement

Post by GQRob »

Hi, just wondering how the gas tanks are fitted to these utes when the spare wheel 'crossmember' seems to be in the way? Do they just put the tank underneath it (will hang pretty low), or perhaps it's cut out... so it can be mounted up higher?

I have a leaf sprung model but I guess coil models have the same crossmember.

Thanks
Rob

Does anyone have a GQ ute on Gas?

If so, was the spare wheel hanger left in or cut out?

Thanks

Thats good to hear, so I should just be able to cut the hanger out with a grinder. Was just concerned that it may be structural or something, but if its the done thing when installing gas thats fine with me.

Thanks for the reply.
