Tough Dog-Tuff Truck Challenge 2007
Moderator: evanstaniland
And to this Simon and your team we have a BIG THANK YOU from all of us.
I liked how you put PK in at the frame twister bopping along to his music while Glenn was packing. We PK's Cheer Squad were cracking up as it was and then to see it in the dvd cracked us up even more.
Little things like this go a long way in my book. The way you commented on everyone was a very nice touch too. We all have family and friends that couldn't make it to the event, they see this and its kinda like being there (I know its not the same)
Many more thanks
Stella

I agree that this years DVD was great. The only critique I will offer is that I would like NOT to see the guys on the cans being celebrated, nor folks running and jumping in the mud pit. This just glorifies it and encourages others to have a crack at it. My fear is some tool will do himself a catastrophic injury and people who love the event will be the ones to suffer when it gets canned because of these idiots. Just leave em out I say.mudtoy wrote:In making the TT07 DVD we had to take so may things into account...we had responsibilities to the event organisers, competitors, spectators and general public...all of which have hugely different needs in seeing a DVD.
So we have tried to make a DVD that explains to the average guy what TT is all about, exposes the vent for the massive effort and weekend it is but also shows plenty of action with every truck getting equal billing.
We also need to look to the future...branding the event as well as naming teams and drivers gives a far more personal slant to the sport...the viewers become attracted to personalities, kids look up to competitors...the events grow and the sport flourishes.
Between what you guys do on the tracks and we do for publicity we want to create heroes that people can aspire to...more viewers, more participants, more competitors...more 4wdriving and a strong and positive future for our sport.
The DVD took it out of all of us...but we are pleased with the result.
Cheers,
Simon.
Otherwise the event was captured well. Congrats 4WD TV!!
Rick.

IIRC, it wont be the same weekend that it was this year. Don't quote me, but I think it's one or two weekends later than this year.
(I remember it was a different weekend because it meant we could go to another event in 2008, usually held on the same weekend)
