GQ class , new winch challenge class?? updated....

Maybe we should propose the question to those running the HQ racing events whether we can run XB Falcons in their comp. Whatever answer they come up with we'll run with for this GQ racing event.

My budget racing would cage, original driveline,normal shocks,4 inch of travel between sping and bump stop,33 inch tyres any make any model for more ppl to enter.
This is budget, As mentioned alot of winches are worth 15 grand!

There just isn't enough of the "other" makes to just start another class. To be honest opening this up to other makes isn't going to change what enters anyway as 99% will be GQ's anyway. But the way I see it is why cut them few off? Are you guys scared that they will bet your beloved GQ shit boxes? Darren I think allow low mounts as long as they warn low mounts. Just make the winch rule "warn winches only, min 8000lb" Other then my low mount being SLOW!!!!!!!! it has never missed a beat in 8 years and it has done its fair share of work. I know alot of high mounts that have done less work and needed rebuilding. Low mount warns are cheap second hand and there is no differance in reliability riskes with them over a second hand high mount.
I agree 100% with other brand name winches
Oh and I think you'll be surprised at the differance in numbers you'll get between people that have shown an interest and the number of people that will hand over the cash so to speak.

what Im sayin in Krim is an experienced competitor, and would find it easier and cheaper with his contacts and parts at home, beg borrow steal, to build a machine that the average pleb with no comp experience, no contacts, fuck all mechanical experience fuck all tools and shit like that.

So keep it going. It also depends how serious this will end up - sponsors, entry fees, the actual tracks, and how many rounds per year...
Glass is easy to work with, just dont spill the resin container on your self, legs, cods, chest... or have a war with the other boat builder your working with with resin guns
