From the comp managers desk.

G`day All,

Just a few quick notes about round two. The track team has courses which I think they have excelled them selves on (again), looking forward to the match races they have come up with. Barber poles are of course a big favorite of mine and there back.

We have two new supplementary rules MAY be applied for the next round.

1- Safety marker for unhooking on SOME stages.

There will be a very clearly defined control line / mark before the winch cable can be disconnected, no matter if there is drive for the vehicle or not.

100 POINTS IF UNHOOKING BEFORE THE MARK.

2- No rearward movement

There will be clearly defined control areas using barber pole tape, no rear ward movement of the vehicle is allowed except if total traction is lost AND all four wheels are locked, with

break lights ON.

30 POINTS IF VEHICLE MOVES REARWARD.

We do have a very special announcement on Saturday night, before the raffle.

See you there

All Competitors, Spectators ect please take note of the following new rule...

Littering is something we always seem to have a problem with at the Qld Winch Challenge, Please take a plastic bag with you and take your rubbish back to camp or find a suitable bin to place it in.
Those people not cleaning up after themselves please take note of the following as it WILL be enforced
Littering is strictly prohibited at the QLD Winch Challenge.
Each item incurs a $5 on the spot fine
Proceeds benefit Team Queensland

Rubbish

Post by Dog Tyred Racing »

This is certainly one thing that never ceases to amaze me. The majority of people I know in the 4wdriving scene are respectful to the owners of the properties we use to enjoy what we do. Why do people insist on leaving rubbish. I'm glad you have got this idea in place. Mind you, why anyone should even have to mention it is beyond me. THINK PEOPLE, IT'S COMMON SENSE! Dahhhh! well obviously not seeing the amount of rubbish that is left at every event I have been too.

It actually works out quite well for me as I have missed approx 3 days out of my usual trainning schedule in the last 4 months so I am not quite at my peak performance level and would probably just slow us down more than anything. Also it's too damn cold to be outside after dark!!
Look forward to a nice warm rnd 3.
