TD5 Tuning

Post by desertrover »

Salut´samme,
that means "hi there",
now that I´m the proud owner of a TD5 Defi 90, I´m looking for some inspiration how to get some more wings!
In Germany there are some Tuners that get around 200 horses and 400 Nm with reasonable financial effort.
How are the options down under?
More power, reliability, costs.
Until now I was a V8er, that Landy will be shipped to Africa next March, and because this was a very healthy 4.6 I´m looking to get an idea for the TD5 :?:
See ya and happy rovering

I tuned my 2002 TD5 with a chip, intercooler, straight exhaust, waste gate shut off, and filter...did well...smoked some...

Any items from the leading aftermarket TD5 people can do it well (JE Engineering, Jeremy Fearns, etc...)

That´s a video of a Defi with tuning from www.daur4x4.de
They do indiv. chipping etc.
The most they get at th mo is 245 HP( 180 KW) and 512 NM ( 376 lb/ft).
But they use water injection and other frenzy thinx

Davis Performance Landys will get the same figures (180kw/520Nm) from the TD5 also using a larger (thicker) intercooler, chip upgrade and a 3" exhaust system.
Cheers

Discovery TD5, Landy IIa V8 ute.
