reverse lights dramas after engine swap

Post by Puk »

I have searched this, but can't find anything that isn't about hooking up extra work lights.

We took out the 1l motor from the Maruti and put in the 1.3 and the 5 speed box.

Now the reverse lights won't work. I have found the wires that come from the reverse switch, and plugged them into the existing 1l loom, even checked them with a test light, and the reverse switch is working, but nothing is getting through to the lights themselves. And it isn't the globes or the connections, which i checked too.

Does anyone know how i can get the reverse lights to work seeing i have a working reverse switch and wires coming from it? How hard would it be to bypass the loom and wire them up separately? What would be involved?
