80 Power Steering

My power steering pump on the 80 is f*@ked. It is wyning constintly and the poor thing has to turn 36s. Has any one upgraded there power steering pump before, if so to what?? Any help would be great. Cheers

mine also major fubar and leaking like a siv. can barely steer without revs.

im getting a replacement done tomorrow through toyota ill let you know how it is, there are 3 different types supposively.

Most expensive is 380 for supply and you must give them back your old one to be reco.

Kits on ebay for $26, the o ring on the inlet pipe is usually the cause of noisy operation as when broken it sucks air....worse noise on inclines etc...20c part

I have a spare powersteering pump one for an 1HZ motor if you want one. $75 and you can have it.

try the o-ring first. if that doesn't fix, the pump is easy to overhaul yourself.
