Hey,
New to the forum, i have had a few hilux's/4runners in the past but the have all been live axle front. i will post pics up in the my ride section later.
I am picking up a 93 2.8d xtra cab this week and it is IFS, and i havent really got much of an idea on how to lift it and keep a good ride and good flex.
First things i will be doing are:
2" body lift, 33" tyres and possibly arb front air locker.
Now i have read about BJ spacers and a few other things but would like some tips on what direction to go. And how high can i go with winding up the torsion bars?
thanks
shane

Have a look at these being in qld tho not legal
Mate has 31"pedes on his ifs lux and they just hit so i'd asume 33's will do some work on your guards

plenty of parts on the bench
You'd wanna keep the torsion bar winding to a minimum (1" at the most), because it actually increases the spring load and reduces the available flex.
Twisty has the BJ spacers on his 4Runner, would be the best one to ask I think. You can get 4" spacer kits which don't change the ride/ travel, just move the diff/ lower control arms down, to give you the height you need for bigger tyres (like the SR one Sic Lux posted).
I had 33's on mine with just a 2" lift (suspension, not body), but they rubbed pretty bad on the mudflap area of the front guards.

Like Sic Lux said, all of the above options are illegal in QLD.
If that aint a problem for ya, then go ahead.
Not many options for an IFS in QLD im afraid. Have asked around myself about SAS on Luxes in QLD, but havent gotten any true answers.

thanks guys,
I will go with body blocks and winding torsions up a little and the bj spacer kit with 2" springs in the back and see how it looks. And i have lined up a set of 33's i cant trial fit on it, from what i have found out i should run either live front ofset, cruiser or patrol.
Legality doesnt really worry me, my 4runner that i had has 2" blocks,
2" springs, extended shackles all round and 33's never had any dramas
some people on the coast have probably seen it, its a yellow 86 4runner with black canopy.[/img]
