ARB Compressor problems

Post by kalcruiser »

Just went for a quick cruise and after getting into a spot of bother i went to switch on ARB compressor to activate the difflock i noticed it was not a smooth sound as normal instead it had a knock every 4-5 seconds after no diiflocks i got out of the situation to check things out to find no air coming out of manifold to any of the 3 outlets. I can feel solinoid kicking in and out for the difflock. Its dark now. tomorrow i'll look a little closer. But id say the compressor u/s can you get rebuild kits for these and has anyone seen this before?????

Thanks in Advance

Chris

Yes, ARB sell rebuild kits for their compressors.

Before you strip it down, check the voltage at the compressor while it's running. I forgot I had mine connected to my aux battery, which then all but died. Couldn't understand why it was running so slow...
