Welded Feroz Front Diff ?

I have a 95 wide track 2in body lift, 31 stt coopers ,welded front diff,diff was cactus when I bought it, cheaper to weld than fix , have not broke any thing yet, been done for about a year,just be carfull on going over jumps and sutch to mutch wheel spin in air on landing cv gone, so you dont have to drive it to hard. if welded strong, it is great.[/img]

I welded my front diff over 12 months ago. No breakages so far. 
It makes a huge difference to how you tackle obstacles. Climbs that you used to howl towards, can now be crawled up.
Steering is heavy even with power steering.
3 point turns become 5 point turns.
Due to the locked axle creating understeer, it can drive like you only have half steering lock available.
My spec is: Rear Jeep YJ springs giving 3" lift, Extensivly modified bumpstop landing plates and lowered front diff, Front torsion bars wound up to match rear ride height, Procomp +3 ES9000 Shocks, 9x15 Mangels offset rims fitted with 31x10.5x15 Fedima Scirocco Tyres (Simex Copy) or 265-75-16 Insa Special Tracks (another Simex Copy just 32.5" tall)
The heavy steering can be a pain and where others just go round a tight bend, you have to shunt. But for the grip and extra ability it gives the Fez, I would never go back to an open front diff. It really make up for having next to no down travel on the front wishbones.
