How do I check If something is draining the battery after its turned off ?

It seems like the battery is going flat over night because its got 13.43 volts at idle and 12.98 straight after you turn it off but drops down to 12.41 pretty quickly after turning it off.

Trying to sort it out tonight because I dont want to wake up and have to push start it at 5am again.

When battery is disconnected and you touch the terminal it will spark slightly when connected if there is stuff running , there are items which do run while ignition is off , computer , clock , and other stuff you may have added. If you do have a ECM pull the fuse and the clock fuse and there should be no spark , if there is you might have something running that might be wired up wrong or faulty , stealing your power , also what condition is your battery in , Cheeers Paul.

More than likely a dud battery.
Test the draw with everything off using a multimeter the draw should only be .1 or. 2 amps at max with the clock etc running. This can be supported for many days if the bat is up to scratch.

I havent noticed a spark when stuffing around with it but will try it again.
Is it more when connecting earth or power ?

what kind of multimeter u got? has it got a "Amps" setting?
if it does just hook the red and black cables from the multimetre in between the battery terminal and the battery cable.
i think ive explained it right :?

just make sure you DONT start your car or anything like that when its conected like that
